Recycling apparatus for the inside air of a vehicle passenger compartment

The invention relates to a device for air conditioning a passenger compartment (3) of a motor vehicle, comprising an air conditioning apparatus (5) installed at the front of the dashboard (1), capable of being supplied with outside air and/or recycled air taken from the passenger compartment and passing through a recycling duct (9) disposed in the dashboard (1), and capable of delivering a flow of conditioned air in an air delivery duct (18) connecting said apparatus (5) to the rear zone (19) of the passenger compartment (3), characterized in that there is provided in the dashboard (1) a bypass duct (21) connecting said recycling duct (9) to said delivery duct (18), said bypass duct (21) dividing the delivery duct (18) into an upstream portion (18a) located between the apparatus (5) and the junction (23) of the bypass duct (21) and a downstream portion (18b) located between said junction (23) and the delivery outlet, and in said junction (23) a rear recycling flap (22) capable of taking at least two positions, a first position (P1) in which it blocks the inlet (24) of the bypass duct (21) and a second position (P2) in which it blocks the outlet (25) of the upstream portion (18a) of the delivery duct (18), in order to allow air to be taken from the rear zone (19) of the passenger compartment (3) for recycling.
