Side impact beam for vehicle door

The reinforcing side member (4) for mounting between the inner and outer skins of a car door has a connecting section (8) which fits into the B-column. This has a curved top section (9) which fits across the gap between the skins and prevents criminals from unlocking the door through an opening in the outer skin.
