Device for uninterrupted power supply with a fuel cell

DRIVE October 16, 2002
Source
The uninterrupted current supply device has a fuel cell (2) for generating current by cold oxidation of hydrogen to water in the event of failure of a primary current supply, especially a supply network, and a storage device for the hydrogen. A hydrolyzer (10) is provided for in situ production of hydrogen (3) from water (8). The fuel cell can be operated as the hydrolyzer by applying an electrical voltage from the primary current source.
