Axle fixation for a sprung vehicle axle

The suspension system for a square hollow profile axle (5) comprises a trailing arm (4) or leaf spring to which it is fastened by a bracket (11), with a mounting plate (8) between them. This has ribs (16, 16a) which fit against an upper corner of the axle.
