  "textContent": "The invention relates to a device for locking a steering column (10) with a locking element having at least one tooth (32). This tooth (32) engages in the case of locking into the tooth gap (15) of a counter-toothing (12) that is rotationally fixed to the steering column (10). The locking element is carried by a slider (20) which is movable transversely to the steering column axis (23) and can be transferred from a securing position (20.1) in the case of locking into an unlocking position where the steering column (10) is released. In order to ensure reliable switching, it is proposed that the locking element be designed as a spool (30) which is longitudinally movable in the slider (20) between end stops (26) and on whose projecting front end the locking-effective tooth (32) is located. The spool longitudinal movement (33) is oriented inclined to the slider movement (23) and the spool (30) is spring-loaded in the extension direction (Fig. 2).",
