Method to determine the intake air mass flow in an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
October 9, 2002
The method calculates the mass flow of air supplied to the engine cylinders from the air intake by measuring the mass flow rate (rlroh) in the air intake and subtracting the variation in the measured air intake pressure (ps) multiplied by a volume and temperature dependent factor (KLFAKSRM). An Independent claim for a device for calculation of the air intake mass flow for the cylinders of an internal combustion engine is also included.
