October 9, 2002
A battery container (11) comprises a main body (12) with a sealing cover (13) of its openings and plural cells formed by partitioning the interior using partitions (11a). The cells contain laminated positive and negative electrodes (14,15) with separators (16) and plugs (20) with check valves are used to prevent leakage of air in and out of the battery during storage. The battery is activated by filling it with electrolyte. An independent claim is included for a process for production of dry-charged lead-acid batteries.
