  "textContent": "The invention relates to a system for storing electrical energy, for example for a motor vehicle, comprising a storage module (1) made of one or more capacitor stores (C1,...,CN), in particular of electrochemical capacitors, a device (22, R1) for measuring the temperature of or in the vicinity of the capacitor stores (C1,...,CN), and one or more control devices (24, 26) which control the voltage applied to the capacitor stores (C1,...,CN) such that the maximum voltage applied to the storage module (1) and/or to the individual capacitor stores (C1,...,CN) increases with decreasing temperature. The invention utilizes the knowledge that the aging of capacitor stores (C1,...,CN) and in particular of electrochemical capacitors depends strongly on the temperature in addition to the operating voltage. By means of temperature-dependent control of the capacitor voltage, the aging of the capacitor stores can therefore be kept as low as possible. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for operating an energy storage system.",
