The seat belt retractor (32) is mounted in the bottom of the door cavity near the closing edge, with the belt running vertically up to the shoulder guide anchor (35) on the top inside of the door frame. The belt portion (31) with the sliding locking tongue (36) extends down to an anchorage (44) slidable along a guide bar (42) fixed to the floor structure. The sliding anchor (44) is on bearings to allow free movement from a rearward open door position allowing easy entry to the rear seat. As the door is closed, the sliding anchor moves forward, positioning the belt near vertically at the front seat back (21).",
