Vehicle seat with integrated reading light

A reading lamp (1) fits in the rear side of a motor vehicle front seat headrest or seat back (4) and can be swung out or closed up flush with the rear side of the headrest. A switch for switching the reading lamp on and off links into the movement mechanism of the reading lamp. A light-emitting surface (7) towards the rear seat passenger is masked by a screening section (9). Power cable for the lamp runs inside the headrest support rods (10). An Independent claim is also included for a lamp assembly with a reading lamp for a rear seat passenger in a motor vehicle.
