System and method for controlling components of a vehicle

The invention relates to a control system for controlling motor vehicle components (4), wherein the system comprises at least one transmitter (1) and at least one receiver (2), the transmitter (1) essentially serves to send messages to the receiver (2), the receiver (2) essentially serves to receive messages and to execute or block functions corresponding to the message, and the at least one transmitter (1) and the at least one receiver (2) are connected to one another by at least one bus (3), characterized in that the transmitter (1) is also designed to receive messages sent via the bus (3), and this transmitter (1) has devices (5, 6, 7) by means of which messages sent and received by the transmitter (1) are monitored. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for controlling motor vehicle components by means of such a system.
