Internal combustion engine comprising at least one cylinder having a cylinder head, a combustion chamber, an ignition plug member, in particular a spark plug, and a head cover, said ignition plug member being arranged in a plug thread hole leading into the combustion chamber and being connected to a power supply means via a coil member arranged in a plug pipe, wherein the plug pipe is divided into at least first and second pipe members, and wherein a lower end of the first pipe member is secured to the cylinder head and an upper end of the second pipe member is adapted to be inserted into a pipe insertion hole in the head cover.
