The main section has a cavity containing the valve actuating mechanism, and the cover carries the camshaft (18') between fixed (34a) and detachable (34b) bearing halves. The fixed bearing halves are made in the cylinder head cover and are designed to take all the forces to which the camshaft is subjected, the cover being in the form of a block with appropriate rigidity, and the detachable bearing halves fitted to its lower face by screws (36').",
