Airbag module

The air bag module has a housing (10) with a gas generator (42) and a pot shaped diffuser (20) enclosing the generator and defining a receiving chamber for the bag. The diffuser has a radial flange (24) to which the annular floor (24) for closing off the receiving chamber is directly attached. The diffuser extends into the receiving housing and forms on of he sides of the base of the open gas generator chamber (40).
