Wheel motor, in particular for two-wheeled vehicles, comprising a wheel mounted on an output shaft, a rotor disposed inside the wheel and having a hollow shaft section through which the output shaft passes, and a stator having coils facing the rotor, and a gear shift device having a multi-speed reduction gear mechanism, wherein said multi-speed reduction gear mechanism comprises at least two reduction gear means of different reduction gear ratios, said reduction gear means of different reduction gear ratios being respectively disposed on the output shaft at both sides of said rotor.
