The foot pedal of a road vehicle system has a bracket (2) that is fixed to one side of the bulkhead (4) that has a force amplifier (5) on the other side. The foot pedal (3) is pivot mounted (15) onto the bracket and located in front is a pedal limiting stop (14). In the event of a frontal collision accident a main body element (6) deflects the pedal mounting toward the bulkhead.
