Stand-by circuit for an electric apparatus

The circuit has signal inputs (3-5), a controller (28) and an output (8) controlling a power supply unit (42). When an ON signal is supplied to an input (3-5), a procedure is introduced, in which the controller output (8) signals the power supply (42) to switch on. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding method; also for electrical equipment so operated.
