Heat exchanger and fitting

A fitting (10) for a heat exchanger comprises a connecting end (14) for connecting a refrigerant flow line and a mounting end (16) for mounting said fitting (10) in axial alignment with an opening in a wall (26) of said heat exchanger. According to the invention said mounting end (16) of said fitting (10) is dimensioned so as to be frictionally engageable into said opening of said heat exchanger.
