  "textContent": "The axial play of the glass (15) with respect to its housing (5) is greater than 40 millimeters. The lamp unit includes a flexible sealing joint (33) which when the glass is fixed onto the housing cooperates with peripheral surfaces of the glass and the housing. Complementary clips (21,22,31,32) are designed, when fitted, to form an axial stop so that the glass can be detached axially from the housing. One clip pair (22,32) is rigid whilst the other (21,31) is flexible. Optical unit for an automobile including a housing (5) designed to be fixed on the vehicles body chassis (2). The housing forms an interior volume and a principal opening (13) turned towards the exterior of the vehicle. A glass (15) is designed to be fixed to the housing so as to close at least partially the principal opening using fixings (21,22,31,32). The fixings hold the glass on the housing so that the glass has an axial play which is defined between a normal position for the glass and a retracted position of the glass. The fixings comprise at lest a pair of complementary detachable clips which can be released by elastic deformation of at least one of them (21,31).",
