After preprocessing the captured signal and identifying extrema of the preprocessed signal, the comparison between the captured signal and a waveform includes applying a temporal transformation to the preprocessed signal to align first and second extrema of the preprocessed signal with first and second extrema of said waveform, and calculating a distance between the transformed signal and said waveform. The selected wheel position is that for which the calculated distance is minimal.",
