Airbag module

The invention relates to an airbag module with an airbag (22) having an airbag wall which comprises a front and a rear wall section (24, 26), wherein an indentation (30) extends from the front wall section (24) in the inflated state in the direction toward the rear wall section (26), which is formed by the fact that a part of the airbag wall is prevented from moving freely outward from the module during deployment of the airbag. The airbag module is characterized in that a closure part (40) is attached to the airbag wall in such a manner that it moves in front of the opening of the indentation (30) in the inflated state and closes the indentation (30).
