Assembly of two plastic vehicle body parts, to be connected against each other

The two plastic body components, having interlocking edges (6, 8), are assembled by inserting a tongue (13) on one component through an aperture (10) in the other. The tongue has a slot (18) in it to receive a key (12) attached by a flexible strip (11) to the component with the aperture. After the tongue has been inserted through the aperture the flexible strip is bent back on itself so the key can be fitted into its slot, fixing it in place.
