A connection system for connecting components, particularly automotive components, has a male bracket arrangement (2) and a female bracket arrangement (3). The female bracket arrangement (3) is shaped and dimensioned to matingly receive at least a portion of the male bracket arrangement (2) between opposed restraining portions of the female bracket arrangement (3). The male bracket arrangement (2) mates with the female bracket arrangement (3) via a mouth portion leading to a gap (6) between the opposed restraining portions, the female bracket arrangement (3) including a releasable detent movable between a detent position in which retraction of the mated male arrangement (2) portion from the female arrangement is inhibited, and a release position in which retraction of the male arrangement portion out of engagement with the female arrangement is permitted. The detent is resiliently biassed by a resilient flexible connection of the female arrangement.
