A narrow gap (33) is formed between the valve needle and the passage opening through the valve body, with a constant circular or ring-shaped cross section along the length of the center passage opening. The choke section for the fuel flow is formed by the cross section surface of the narrow gap. The valve needle has a constant circular cross section from the upstream needle guide (14) to a sealing seat (6).",
