The invention relates to an air conditioning system for a motor vehicle with a heat exchanger (1) through which a refrigerant flows, which circulates in a refrigeration cycle, wherein in the heat exchanger (1) during standstill of the first refrigeration cycle a second, internal refrigeration cycle exists.
