Pusher plate for unloading a vehicle with a horizontal container
DRIVE
July 10, 2002
The discharger for a bin (3) carried on a truck or trailer comprises a telescopic hydraulic power cylinder at the front end of the bin that moves a pusher towards the open rear end to discharge the bin's contents. The periphery of the pusher is shaped to match the cross-section of the bin, and its contact surface is concave and curved. The pusher has a deflector at the top and a seal between its periphery and the bin surface, and is guided by rollers running in guide rails (111) on the inside or outside of the bin's upper edges.
