Safety device for vehicles

The safety device for a vehicle comprises a prefabricated airbag module (14, 16, 18, 22, 34, 36) which is fitted into the car seat. A section (24, 26) of the rear surface of the back rest also acts as a cover (34, 36) for the module. An Independent claim is included for a vehicle seat containing the module.
