The electric machine (20, 21) is of the asynchronous disc type comprising: a stator (20) disposed on the upstream or downstream side of the compressor, this stator comprising windings to generate a stator rotating field and a stator magnetic circuit receiving said windings, and a rotor (19, 21) constituted by the compressor wheel (19) made of a non-magnetic electrically conductive material.
