Method for manufacturing an interior vehicle lining with tear line for an airbag

The fitting enclosing the airbag has a plastic foundation layer (1) supporting a foam layer (2) with a decorative cover (3). Through the layers a tear-off seam (4) runs provided a barrier (5) affixed to the foundation layer before the foam layer is applied. The barrier is of a material permeable to the foam (net, woven or perforated material) which dies not adhere to the foam and serves to proved discontinuities in the foam layer.
