Device for guiding a seat of a vehicle

The car seat mounting system comprises a sliding rail (2) attached to the seat which slides in a guide rail fixed to the floor. A lock (4) for holding the seat in the desired position has a plate (3) attached to it which absorbs energy during a crash by deformation, moving backwards into a recess (5) and carrying the seat with it.
