The volume of the cylinder chamber (25) of a compressor pump, or the complete volume of all pump cylinder chambers, is larger by at least 25%, pref. at least 50%, than the volume for filling the combustion chamber (7) with a mixture having an air ratio of alpha = 1, for a fuel volume introduced for full engine load.",
