The temperature sensor (30) is located behind a wall (18) surrounding the interior (10). A processor produces a representative output from the sensor signal. A thermally-conductive element (36) is used in sensing the air temperature close to the wall. This is in thermal contact with the sensor. It extends at or near the wall, or is passed through an opening in the wall.
