An automotive seat incorporates a thin woven ventilation layer (14) holding a network of axial and radial ventilation bushes with side outlets. The width of each aperture is less than the thickness of the woven ventilation layer (14). The seat also has a number of small ventilation fans (19) blowing air through ventilation passages (14) to the bushes.
