Since a display apparatus is constituted by a displaying portion 1801 and an operating portion 1802, as well as by a retractable supporting means 1803, 1804 which supports the operating portion 1802, and a rotary mechanism 2500 for rotating the operating portion 1802, the operation of the operating portion 1802 is allowed in a position favorite to a user. Therefore, an effect is obtained that the operability can be improved.
