Steering assembly with fixed central cushion, central cushion and corresponding motor vehicle
DRIVE
March 27, 2002
The assembly consists of a steering wheel (1) with a fixed central cushion (4) containing one or more control switches (50, 51) for the vehicle's lights, indicators and other equipment. The control switches can be rocked in two different directions (60, 61; 65, 66) i.e. up and down and fore and aft, using the fingers of a hand on the steering wheel. The switches are mounted on a radial projection on the central cushion which is positioned sufficiently far from the steering wheel's radial arms to prevent any interferene with the switch movement.
