A leg assembly for a vehicle passenger seat comprises a front leg frame (38) and a rear leg comprising a first link (58) pivotally connected at a first end (60) to the rear foot (52), a second link (54) pivotally connected at a first end to an intermediate point (56) on the leg frame (38) and a load-limiting strut (64) pivotally connected at a first end (66) to the front foot (48) and pivotally connected at a second end (62) to both the second end of the first link (58) and the second end of the second link (54). The load-limiting strut (64) is arranged to resist movement of the first and second links (54, 58) into alignment with each other, but to yield when subject to a load exceeding a predetermined value, thereby allowing the seat to pivot forwardly about its front foot (48).
