RECHARGEABLE BATTERY USING NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE

Source
In a nonaqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery in which a positive electrode plate (1) and a negative electrode plate (2) are superimposed with a separator (3) interposed between them, and are accommodated in a battery case (4) together with electrolyte, corona discharge treatment is performed on the positive electrode material (1a) or the manufactured positive electrode plate (1). Improved affinity between the positive electrode material (1a) of the positive electrode plate (1) and the electrolyte shortens the pouring time of the electrolyte and enables the lithium ions (10) to easily reach the surface of the positive electrode material (1a), thereby improving the charging/discharging characteristic of the battery.
