Hydrostatic drive

DRIVE March 20, 2002
Source
During the braking operation of the drive (1) the outlet side (12a, 12b) of the rotational consumer (2) which is connected in an open circuit with a hydraulic assembly, can be brought into connection with the input side (6) of the hydraulic assembly (4) so that the electric motor (5) can be operated as a generator. The output side of the hydraulic assembly can be connected to the inlet side of the consumer through a control valve unit (15) whilst the outlet side (12b) of the consumer can be connected by a switch valve device (21) to the tank (7) in driving mode and to the input side of the hydraulic assembly in braking mode.
