The optical structure has fixings pins for a printed circuit (36) which carries the aligned LED light sources (10). The structure includes retaining clips (40,44) for a connector (42) linked to the printed circuit. The signaling lamp has a number of light emitting diode LED sources (10) and striated parts designed to direct the light emitted from the sources in a direction parallel to the general beam direction (X). The optical parts include a first part (12) designed to spread the light in a plane (YZ) essentially perpendicular to the general beam direction (X) in an essentially homogenous fashion onto a second part (14) having the shape of a plaque and to direct the incident light towards the general emission direction (X). The first part spreads the light over the second part by taking into account the variations in the coefficients of transmission of the two parts and of the emission curve of the light source so as to produce illumination output from the second part which responds to a predetermined law.
