Equalized pressure or pressure regulation in an overall system of fuel cells

DRIVE February 27, 2002
Source
The system has at least one fuel cell with an anode circuit in which a coolant/fuel mixture circulates under pressure and passes through an anode chamber separated by a proton-conducting membrane from a cathode chamber forming part of a cathode circuit in which a gas under pressure containing oxygen flows to the cathode chamber. The anode and cathode circuits are connected by at least one connecting line for pressure equalization in the fuel cell.
