Pointer type indicator

The device has a pointer consisting of a pointer vane (1) that pivots above a numbered plate (4) on rotatable pointer axle (2) as a result of axle rotation. The pointer vane has a coating (12) containing microcapsules with pigments or micro bodies, whereby the pigments or micro bodies can be influenced in their alignment to the observer by a magnetic or electric field and depending on the alignment lend a different optical appearance to the vane.
