Method of voice control over devices in noisy environments

The method involves feeding acoustic signals occurring in the vehicle, which can contain signals dependent on the operating state and/or ambient noise signals and potentially voice signals, to a voice recognition system (3) which uses acoustic references (8) selected and/or adapted depending on detected operating states and/or operational ambient information.
