Cylinder head gasket with partial resin coating
DRIVE
February 20, 2002
A cylinder head gasket (1) for an internal combustion engine is formed of one metal plate (10) having a base portion extending substantially throughout an entire area to be sealed, a hole (2) formed in the base portion corresponding to the hole of the engine, and a bead (11) surrounding the hole. A resin coating (20a-20f) is deposited on at least a part of the bead of the metal plate. Thus, the bead is reinforced and sealing ability is improved.
