Redundant data bus system for vehicles

The data bus system has 2 data bus channels and a number of subscribers, the majority of which are coupled to both data bus channels, with at least one of the subscribers coupled to only one of the data bus channels. Two different sets of subscribers may be coupled to only one or other of the 2 data bus channels respectively.
