Hollow armrest for automotive vehicle door

The arm rest is mounted on the inside of a car door and comprises a hollow shell with upper support surface (15). The wall nearest the interior of the car slopes outwards towards the top. This wall can be opened to allow access to the cavity (27) inside the shell. An Independent claim is included for a car door fitted with the arm rest.
