Device for smoothing voltage and current transients when connecting or disconnecting a battery
DRIVE
January 30, 2002
Device intended to smooth current and voltage transients and consequently prevent the formation of an electric arc during the connection operation by which a charged power battery (1) is put into circuit with an electrical power equipment (2) that it must supply, and/or during the reverse disconnection operation, during which the circuit by which the battery supplies the equipment is interrupted. It provides for the insertion of a transient smoothing circuit (3) in current/voltage to compensate for any voltage imbalance likely to appear between the two terminals, one (+) of the battery and the other (A+) of the equipment, between which the connection and interconnection between battery and equipment are alternately performed.
