The ancillary drive consists of a shaft mounted in a casing on radial and axial bearings and fixed to a gear wheel drivable from the engine crankshaft via intermediate gears. The shaft (3) with the radial (5, 6) and axial (10, 13) bearings and the gear wheel (2) is integrated into the engine crankcase. The gear wheel is directly between the two radial bearings.
