Electrochemical cell for the oxidation of organic compounds and electrocatalytic oxidation process

DRIVE December 5, 2001
Source
An electrochemical cell with a cathode and an oxygen ion-conducting solid electrolyte has an anode coated with zeolites, mordenites, silicates, phosphates or mixed metal oxides of pore size below 200nm. Also included is an Independent claim for selective oxidation of organic compounds by introducing the organic compounds on the anode side of such a cell, with an O2- or N2O-containing gas being introduced on the cathode side.
