Protection frame for road vehicles
DRIVE
November 28, 2001
The arrangement extends the width of the vehicle and covers the running wheels (8) of the vehicle with its horizontal bars (2,3). The arrangement provides a substantial part of the structural rigidity of the vehicle. The running wheels of the vehicles are arranged on the support frame with individual wheel suspensions (16). The steerable wheels (8a) of the vehicle are each arranged at a wheel suspension (16) by a wheel support, which is curved about a vertical axis in the horizontal plane, corresponding to the steering radius.
