Pedal position sensing device

The unit includes a housing comprising an opening (44) which allows external access to a region of an operating lever (38) laying outside the axis of rotation (36), so that the operating lever is influenced by the movement of the pedal. The operating lever is an angled lever which is rotatably mounted at the end of one limb, with the end of the other limb penetrating through the opening (44) and subjected to a pedal force acting perpendicularly to its front side (44).
